Subscription & Cancellation Policy

I. Billing and Payments

  1. Apple Billing System: All purchases are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store billing system. Prepwise never sees or stores your payment card details.
  2. Subscription Plans: Available plans and pricing are displayed on the in-app paywall and may change. You may be offered a free trial, an introductory offer, or a discounted welcome rate, the terms of which are disclosed at the point of purchase.
  3. Agreement to Terms: By making a purchase you agree to Apple's Media Services Terms, Prepwise's Terms of Use, and this Policy.

II. Auto-Renewal

  1. Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current rate, unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  2. Payment Method: The renewal charge is applied to the payment method on file with your Apple ID.
  3. Free Trial Conversion: If you start a free trial and do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription converts automatically to a paid plan.
  4. Price Changes: We may adjust subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified through the App Store renewal-price-change mechanism.

III. No Manual Cancellation by Prepwise

  1. Technical Limitation: Because your subscription is managed by Apple, Prepwise does not have the technical authority to cancel, pause, or modify your subscription.
  2. Email Does Not Cancel: Sending an email does not cancel a subscription. You must manage cancellation through your Apple ID settings.

IV. How to Cancel Your Subscription

  1. Timing: To avoid the next renewal charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  2. iOS Steps:
    • Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
    • Tap your Name / Apple ID at the top.
    • Tap Subscriptions.
    • Select Prepwise.
    • Tap Cancel Subscription.
  3. Access After Cancellation: Canceling stops future renewals. You retain Pro access until the end of the billing period you already paid for.

V. Region-Specific Rights

  1. European Union / United Kingdom / EEA Consumers: Under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive and equivalent UK law, digital content supplied without a physical medium is exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal once performance has begun with your express prior consent. By starting to use a paid feature you waive the 14-day cooling-off period.
  2. California and Other U.S. Jurisdictions: You may cancel your subscription at any time without penalty. The cancellation method described in Section IV satisfies the California Automatic Renewal Law.

VI. Refunds and Billing Disputes

  1. Partial Periods: Except as provided in our Membership Integrity Agreement, all fees paid to Apple are non-refundable. No prorated refunds.
  2. Billing Errors: If you were charged in error contact Apple Support directly at https://getsupport.apple.com.
  3. Performance-Based Refunds: Governed exclusively by the Membership Integrity & Educational Guarantee Agreement.
  4. Chargebacks: Initiating a chargeback before contacting Apple or Prepwise may result in immediate termination of your account and permanent ban.

VII. Termination and Membership Integrity

  1. Account Termination: If your access is terminated for violation of the Membership Integrity Agreement, you remain responsible for canceling your Apple subscription.
  2. No Automatic Cancellation: Termination of service by Prepwise does NOT automatically cancel your Apple-managed subscription.

VIII. Data Persistence and App Deletion

  1. App Deletion: Deleting the Prepwise app does NOT cancel your subscription.
  2. iCloud Backup: Progress data saved via iCloud remains under your Apple ID even if the app is deleted.

IX. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice and an update to the Last Updated date above.
